In the year 1347 AD, the Black Death reaches Europe, bringing devastation to its population. In Rattus Big Box, players work to keep their populations alive while settling various regions of Europe and Northern Africa. Each turn, players choose different medieval roles like Peasants, Monks, or Knights to grow their populations or spread the plague. The game’s strategic depth is enhanced by the inclusion of three expansions: Pied Piper, Africanus, and Academicus, offering additional roles and gameplay options. The Big Box edition includes previously unpublished materials and bonus cards, making it the ultimate edition for fans and new players alike. As the plague eventually recedes, the player who manages to keep the most of their population alive will win the game.
