Product detailed description

Brass: Birmingham is an economic strategy game and a sequel to Martin Wallace's 2007 classic Brass. It tells the story of rival entrepreneurs in Birmingham during the industrial revolution between the years 1770 and 1870.

Players take on the roles of industrialists striving to build, develop, and connect their networks to capitalize on fluctuating market demands. The game is split into two eras: the canal era (1770–1830) and the rail era (1830–1870). The goal is to score the most victory points (VPs), which are awarded at the end of each era for canals, rails, and developed industries.

Each round, players have two actions to perform the following:

  1. Build – Pay required resources and establish an industry.
  2. Network – Add a rail or canal link to expand your network.
  3. Develop – Increase the VP value of an industry.
  4. Sell – Sell cotton, manufactured goods, or pottery.
  5. Loan – Take a £30 loan and reduce your income.
  6. Scout – Discard three cards to gain a wild location and wild industry card.

Brass: Birmingham introduces a fresh gameplay experience with new strategic elements, making it an engaging challenge for both fans of the original and newcomers.
