Players take turns placing koinobori cards either visibly on the common festival masts or secretly on their own personal mast. At the end of the game, players score points based on the presence of koinobori on the festival masts – the more koinobori of the same color on your personal mast, the more points you earn.

Playing cards on your personal mast early in the game enhances your abilities but limits your visibility of the festival masts. Conversely, waiting too long to build your mast reduces your influence on the game. Striking the perfect balance while watching your opponents’ moves is the key to victory.

Koinobori blends hidden bets on your personal mast with visible majorities on the festival masts. It’s an easy-to-learn, quick game that offers surprising strategic depth.
