Fishing is a clever trick-taking game where you try to win as many tricks as possible over eight rounds, with each captured trick earning you 1 point. The cards you win will be used in the next round, and if you don’t have enough, you’ll draw fresh ones from the ocean deck, introducing new strategies and challenges.

Each round starts with 8–13 cards in hand, depending on the player count and round. In the first round, you play with values 1–10 in four colors, following standard trick-taking rules—players must follow suit, and the highest card of the leading suit wins the trick.

New cards emerge from the ocean deck over time, bringing higher-value cards in the four colors, a green trump suit (1–16), special "0" cards that let you snatch a card from a trick, and buoy cards with unique abilities. Buoys can be played at any time, allowing you to steal the lead, dictate the next trick’s suit, force card exchanges, or even deduct points from opponents. Some buoys let you take all the cards in a trick, setting you up for success in the following rounds.

At the end of each round, you score 1 point per captured card. After eight rounds, the player with the highest score wins.
